Murican, born n raised. But I can't stand how all the American news outlets tend to focus on solely domestic crap and entertainment gossip that has absolutely no business being on any real news platform. I don't wanna have to use the bbc to not have to hear about justin fucking beiber. What is happening to this country?
As someone who has seen the veracity of ALL American media deteriorate to the level of tabloid journalism, I wholeheartedly agree.
One can no longer get unbiased news in the US, and the bias is toward the right and the money, not towards the needs of the population and the planet. It is absolutely shameful, but as with so much in our country, there seems to be no shame in the UHNWI lining their pockets at the expense of the truth, the general population and the ecology of the planet they also live on.
The news is manipulated by corporate/government interests. We are given garbage so we don't take an interest in how fucked up things are. It's not too different elsewhere, it's just blatantly thrown in our face here.
do you notices that the news is always trying to keep you in fear? they use psychology by using fear to control us... but we're wising up to their bullshit. you can only heap bullshit on top of bullshit for so long before the whole thing caves in.
It's purposefully sensational in a way that is just sickening. I can't stand it either. I stopped watching the news for a while.
