Is it normal to go to job interviews because you're depressed and lonely

I cry everyday because i'm so alone, it sucks so I applied to a bunch of jobs to distract me from the sadness and it's nice to have someone to talk to when I go to the interview. I had 4 this week unfortunately 2 were rescheduled, and I'm gonna keep applying to jobs everyday, because I have nothing else in life.

I'm sure if you thought about it you could find a better way to easy your loneliness & depression than going to job interviews and just because one friend fucked up doesn't mean you couldn't make friends who treat you well.

I hope you find a nice job and make friends however most loneliness is a state of mind. I often get lonely even though I have an amazing girlfriend. Hopefully you can figure out the source of your loneliness.

    • I have literally no friends and never had since childhood, not because i'm a loser or anything, I just gave up on trying a long time ago. I have lots of who I would consider acquaintances but I've never really felt any "connection" to people for more than short bursts which would not be sufficient to maintaining frienships.

I used to be fairly ok with this, but recently I made a close friend. then, they fucked up (I don't wanna go into the details but it made me realize i'd be an idiot to stay in the relationship). now were more like "acquaintances" again. i miss the closeness so much, even tho that person had always been kinda shitty to me (still is) and would be better to just forget about. but i dont know how.

Sorry to hear that. Best thing to so is acknowledge people and be approachable. Always try and expand your circle of aquaintences which can become potential friends.

It's normal to feel lonely, although not preferred. But i've never heard of anyone doing this before. I just can't imagine dressing up, writing out a Resume and mentally preparing yourself for an interview. Do you not have any friends, or do you have "friends" that you don't want to hang out with?

  • Yes. Normal. Sometimes I’ll call wrong numbers on purpose or sit in someone’s yard because I’m so lonely. I always fantasize about someone coming out and giving me a hug.
The feeling of being alone is absolute agony.
