Is it normal to get really mad at my boyfriend when he does better than me

We are both in the same major (thats how we met) and I'm very competitive, but when the Prof. asks him to help with a conference it made me mad and I flipped out on him, and when his grade on the midterm set the curve it made me mad even though I had the second highest grade in the class. Its like it make me furious when he's better than me, and I can't be happy for him, and he can't enjoy it either.

Why don't you date losers and then you can always feel superior?

social construction throughout history has deemed us females "less smart and less capable." today, we have this urge to prove it wrong...

i still think we're still the better sex. LOL. we live longer. :)

Congratulations. You're just as stupid and sexist as the patriarchal ancestors you seem to dislike.

I think its a bit unfair on him and maybe try to be a little less selfish because how can he ever try toimpress you if you always flip out or get jealous?

It is normal to be competitive, but it isnt so normal to take it to the level that you are dealing with.

It's normal to be competitive w your other half. It's nice to rub it in their face too.

It happens. The saying "opposites attract" is nonsense, but being too alike is problematic as well. You end up competing and loathing each other because of it.
