Is it normal to get outbreaks of herpes (cold sores) when you're pregnant?

I haven't had a cold sore in a while and usually it's due to high fever, I'd say I'm about 8 wks pregnant (not keeping it) and I'm getting cold sores... but not at their usual spots, usually I get them in the nose or on the right corner of my upper lip, but now it's just huge in the middle of my upper lip, I plan to have kids later in life, but is this common during pregnancy? Is it more likely to spread?

I get them if I am rundown so maybe you need a tonic.

    Stress.

I would suggest talking to your doctor to see if you can get some kind of medicated cream to help prevent them.

Also, don't forget to stay hydrated.

Well, herpes is more likely to spread during an outbreak and I'd say it is more common because your body is probably stressed from the pregnancy. Stress causes herpes to pop out of your nerves and say hello.

While im not sure about the link between cold sores and pregnancy's I know I get them a lot. Maybe your body is weak from having to give so much nutrients to the kid and so its easier for you to get sick.
