Is it normal to get fired for not using your weekend appropriately?

I got fired because every time I was asked what I did over the weekend, it didn't meet people's expectations. Even though I really enjoy my weekends doing what I like to do. Not good enough. I was supposed to be partying or water skiing. is it normal to be fired for not being interesting enough, and not investing your time in things other people enjoy, and as a result, being unlikeable and not part of the group?

Sounds strange to me that one got fired because of what s/he does at weekends. Is there more to the story?

If you work in a surf shop and you spend your weekends eating mac and cheese and coming on isitnormal then you're not right for the team are you?

Why don't you do what all the other sad freaks do, shoot up a school or go to a blacklivesmatter protest

    >be middle aged wageslave
    >see awkward teenaged new hire
    >try to make smalltalk, feel bad for him
    >he has an aspy angst freakout
    >kid becomes first one to layoff

It might depend on what you did. I mean, if it's something illegal, may create liability issues or that may just reflect badly on the company then I could see them firing you.

Or OP is just assuming this is the reason because they're a tard.

That's what I'm placing my money on.

Yeah, that's a good possibility too. Still curious what he did over the weekend though!

Yeah...the lack of detail is part of what makes me think he's tarding it up.

Yeah it could be 'I got drunk and fucked a goat' or 'I sat home with my cats' or just trolling entirely...

I'm gonna guess number three, or number four: lying about the real reason for no readily apparent reason.

Are you sure this is the reason you were fired?

It is not possible to answer without knowing more details of the situation.
    1. How did you know they fired you because of that?
    2. What was your answer when they asked you what you did in your weekend?
    3. What kind of job do you do?

Yeah, is life some sort of competition that we all have to make the grade and do cool stuff 24-7? I don't think so. You do what you like doing and others an suck it up if they don't like it. Maybe listen to what they like to do, talk about what you like to do, and perhaps try something new sometimes...but what are weekends for if not to enjoy a break away from work?
