Is it normal to get cross when you need a wee ?

I am in a wheelchair so can't always get to the loo as quickly as I need to. go loads & if/when I don't I feel ill. I feel really sick & get cross. When I hear someone who can walk say that they've been dying to go for ages, I can never work out why they don't get ill/cross like me. is it normal -- any ideas??
