Is it normal to get bullied everyday of your life

I've been bullied my whole life from school to work to my own family even in relationships with Woman, some times I even get bullied by shop assistants.

So what's wrong with me am I a soft target or do people just look at me and hate me?

  • I was bullied as a kid. Then I grew up to be really big and nobody fucks with me. Eat your vegetables.

  • I've always been a magnet for vicious people. After all these years I suppose it's clear enough how it's affected me.

In a certain sense, you deserve what you tolerate. Stand up for yourself and resist. Bullies are spineless cowards; they want easy prey, not a challenge.

Just punch the next person who messes with you in the face. And wear Chuck Norris pajamas.

You might be giving off the vibe of an victim, poor self-esteem, insecurity, inferiority, etc. If you could change these aspects (better self-esteem, confidence, etc.), I'm sure that people will learn to leave you alone. No bully wants to pick a bone with someone who isn't going to put up with their shit.

People who are bullied only have themselves to blame.

    • What makes you think that? I think everybody gets bullied at some time and most people at some time bully others as well. I know I've done both.
Sometimes bullying has been justified when it's against somebody for a good reason.
But often it is not and is directed towards somebody for discriminating reasons.
A lot of the time a bully will harass somebody because they don't like something about them, but instead of attacking others because you just don't like something about them, they should talk to them and get to understand why they may act the way they do.

Jumping towards judgmental conclusions and acting aggressively on them does not help anybody.
Not everything can be solved peacefully, but it is always good to be open minded towards why people are the way they are.

Exactly. That's why I believe in bullying. It builds character.

    • I fully agree. Kids are harsh, everyone knows this. If you want to avoid being picked on, either stop doing whatever weird nerdy thing it is you're doing that opens you up to being bullied, or grow a backbone and learn how to stand up for yourself.

At what point does the possible result of standing up to a bully overpower your willingness to be bullied? If you had kicked that grammar school bully in the nuts and taken a beating for it, would that have been a worthwhile trade to continued bullying?
I just don't get it. I can not see anything worse than spending your whole life cowering and in fear. Stand up and just take the fucking beating, gain a little respect from others and build your own self respect.

    I agree with Avant-Garde.

Stand up straight. Be assertive. When you truly put your focus on what matters to YOU, the "bullies" will disappear.
