Is it normal to get annoyed at people talking down about their bf/gf?

I'm a guy. Whenever guy friends of mine talk about some flaw about their girlfriend... "Dude her boobs are so lopsided/small/etc" or "She has the nastiest smelling pussy" or "She does XYZ and it's so fucking weird" ... it really annoys me

And it's not just guy buddies. When girls, though very few share such stuff, have done the same it's annoyed me just as much.

Probably 99% of the time when people gossip about this, they haven't talked to their partner about it. And I don't know why but that really offends me. I'm wondering if I'm totally alone in thinking this way.

    Maybe it annoys you because you know they gossip about you behind your back. These people cannot be trusted, find better friends.

    Normal. I´m the same. I only talk bad about my boyfriend to close friends when i want advice, But i include all the details and never insult him or anything.

    Sometimes you want advice, and usually my friends side with him anyway xD

    Why would you be with a girl who has all those undesirable characteristics? Sounds like they're just bitter that they're losers and can only get gross horrible girls.

    Venting about loved ones to coworkers and friends is commonplace. Just wait till you work in an office and everyone has kids. My guess is your nice guy/white knight instincts kicked in, to which I recommend 'No More Mr. Nice Guy'.

      I can't tell which is dumber, the fact that book exists or the fact that much of what it details actually does work in real life.

        The reason I recommend it so often is because of the this quote from the book:
