Is it normal to get angry at my bf before we meet in a long distance relationship?

We are since years in a long distance relationship, even if I trust my boyfriend and I really miss him when he is not here, everytime he is about to come I get angry for something because I am afraid to loose him. What can I do, is it normal?

I've been with my boyfriend long distance for more than four years. We see each other once a year for at least a month. I can't imagine having anything to get mad at him about.

What sort of things are you getting mad about, exactly?

You seem fairly self aware. If you know the problem is you being afraid of losing him and that you have no real reason to be angry, it's now just a matter of self-control and honesty. I mean we all have a filter in our head that gives us time inbetween having a though and putting it in words. So next time you feel like getting angry for no apparent reason: Don't. Instead you could tell your boyfriend that you're afraid of losing him. THAT's honesty: The most healthy thing for every relationship ever.
Then maybe you can find out together how to make it better. This way your boy will have a chance of actually helping you instead of having to defend himself.

Don't you mean you are afraid of losing him. To loose him would be like to set him free.

*imagines someone unchaining OP's boyfriend then opening a gate as the boyfriend runs free on the grass like an animal*
