Is it normal to fit into size 6 pants and size small shirts when i'm chubby?

I'm 145 pounds 5'4.
I used to wear a size 10 at this weight several years ago. Then just a few months ago, I wore a size 8 and now it's like they changed the clothes on me because I'm a size 6 and sometimes 8 in higher-end stores but seriously. Size 6? 145 pounds. Are they trying to make people who weigh 200 pounds feel healthy?

IIN? This makes absolutely no sense to me. So what the hell size will I be when I weigh 120? Size-doesn't-exist? Seriously, what. I'm fatter than most people around me, too because I'm part of a very fit town and state in the US. Most are thinner than me. Some are only 105 pounds. What the hell size are they wearing? I'm SO confused.

It's called vanity sizing. Clothing companies are trying to sell more by cutting sizes bigger; I guess women are supposed to want more pairs of jeans if they suddenly find out they're a size 2 instead if a size 6.

It drives me crazy because I hate shopping, and now instead of running in and grabbing a pair of jeans in my size, I have to try everything on.

At one store, I used to be a 2 or a 4 and now I wear size double zero 00. Give me a fucking break!

    What's next, negative sizes??
