Is it normal to find room mate tied up?

NOTE: this is a hypothetical and NOT TROLL POST.

My room mate told me that if I were to ever find him tied up in our dorm room, to leave him there. He also told me that it would be part of some initiation into a sports team or fraternity or something. I told him that I would not just leave him there because its foolish, dangerous, and I could get those dimwits in trouble or something... How would you respond to something like that?

    I think he's into bondage, which is fine, and is trying to make you believe that he isn't. Anyway, self-bondage is extremely dangerous. He needs someone to keep an eye on him in case a serious situation were to arise, so they can step in to prevent it.

    If he want's to be tied up and alone id leave him there. If he dies in a fire or something that's his problem.
