Is it normal to find ricky gervais hilarious?

I adore that man. The office is incredibly well written, brilliantly observed it takes the kind of people I've known and inflates them to a ridiculous degree, he can do akward comedy like no one else but also I think he, as an actor is amazing in it, comedic acting is harder to do than people give it credit for even Bryan Cranson my favorite actor said so himself, he can do emotional acting too though likw when he's pleading for his job back. I haven't even mentioned that I think he's got the best comic timing in the industry, well after leslie neilson.

Extras is hilarious and it's got the best use of celebrity cameos i've ever seen particularly the kate winslett and patrick stewart ones.

Derek i'm conflicted on, anyone who says it's poking fun at people with mental disabilities is just plain wrong, Derek is the kindest, most caring and innocent character i've ever seen on tv but the show as a whole is too saccharin and melodramatic for my tastes, I have reservations about the first series but I like it despite the preachy messages that are shoved in your face because it is funny and it is sad in places. second series is just meh.

A lot of people find him annoying but I love that he's loud and exitable and innapropriate. Plus if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have the round faced goodness of Karl Pilkington

He's really good in The Office. I don't like anything else he has done as much, but it's one of my all-time favourite comedy shows.

He is very funny... idk about hilarious.

I've always had a bit of a crush on that man. I don't care if admitting that makes me seem like a loser. I think he's brilliant.

I used to like him. Now I just find his attitude annoying. Like his success has gone to his head.

Half of the time he tries too hard but the other half of the time he is hilarious. It's 50/50 for me.

I like him, he seems like a nice guy, I've only ever really watched the animated show and an idiot abroad, & of course karl is great too. I didn't know derek was a ricky gervais show until recently, saw that show go by on netflix a few times, now i want to watch it. never really watched much of the office, but i liked the US one, there was a scene when michael scott and david brent meet each other, and it's funny how ricky messes with steve carell, ricky had another show with stephen merchant i can't remember the name but they did a bit with steve carell that was pretty funny

Hate Derrick, thought Life's Too Short was rubbish, find The Ricky Gervais Show and An Idiot Abroad repetitive and irritating...

So I find him hit and miss. I like the guy, but I think his output is inconsistent.

His comedic chum Louie C.K., on the other hand, I find consistently hilarious.
