Is it normal to find out the sex of your unborn baby but keep it secret?

I understand if people don't want to find out, but if people know, why set them selves up for a mountain of yellow baby gear or gender specific stuff they won't use?

It's normal to not reveal the gender of your baby. Some people like to keep it a secret however I don't understand the rest of your question.

Yes it is normal, as a matter of fact, I didn't tell my family the sex of all my kids. My family had to wait until they were born.

    • Why? I understand it's your decision and right not to tell, but I don't get why you wouldn't tell people if you knew yourself.

Yes it's normal, but you're right, it's dumb! If you want it to be a secret, don't find out in the first place!
