Is it normal to find others with problems in the past attractive

So coming from a well put family, I am a normal girl (I'm weird but in terms of background and experiences I'm normal) who is open to anything yet a little bit naive compared to others. When I meet people I feel like I have nothing to offer because I have no big past experiences/problems that Ive learned from and grown as a person. I'm just me, fresh, friendly, hi. But it seems that people get a long more with others who have past or present problems because they are better shaped into unique beings when the ones who have been brought up well and clean are boring ish and I feel like that, like I'm too well put for someone who's been through so much and has a lot to offer while I'm just here open to anything cause I have nothing much to offer.

I've got plenty of past problems, being bullied for 8 years, brain herphormage, handicaps (which I still have), sure it's interesting to hear but it will lose the interest fast.

Just be happy you're normal. I sure like to be normal hahaha.

You bleeding heart, you. I don't exactly have a deep, dark, mysterious past, but I'm an awesome story teller. Soo... Ya know.

Meh, I come from the side of having a bad past, still, you sound like a cool, fun person. :) I don't know how old you are, but consider this. In any painful experience, there's generally periods of denial, anger, and acceptance. Depending on the issues, it can take people a long time to work things out. I've largely made peace with my past, and everyone gets to that in their own time.

Also, people like you can be quite refreshing to be around when things seem grim. :3

That's really interesting actually, lots of people want what you have. I see what you mean but the issue you're talking about here shows your unique individuality too. The upside is you'll know what not to do or what to look out for from the stories you hear. One day something is gonna click, time will pass, then you'll look back at this.

It may be impressive/shocking/interesting to others at first glance, but problems haunt you. There is nothing wrong with being normal, functional and healthy.

People with a past may have some stories to tell and a worldview moulded by a few knocks, but some of the past always lives on into the present. Complicated and unpredictable might be fun for an evening, but it takes a special kind of person to live with it long-term.
