Is it normal to find it funny when trolls complain about getting banned?

I've noticed in a lot of different forums websites (like fitness ones, advice ones, parenting ones, pet ones, etc). Trolls and spammers will post ridiculous topics, advertisements, or harass others and then turn around and try to play victim by making a topic claiming they've done nothing wrong after they get temporarily banned, suspended, or get strikes on their account. I always find this behavior funny. IIN?

Playing the victim is part of their trolling routine!

It depends on the troll, and what bridge they crawled out from under of course.

    • The last dumb one I remember was on a parenting forum. The dude kept making topics/posts claiming he had sex with his children then he'd turn around and pretend to be a woman who was getting banged by her son. He was banned, then had the nerve to make multiple topics whining about getting banned. One of the mods eventually hit him with an IP ban. What kind of troll would that be and what type of bridge? LOL.

A shitty pedo-incesta-troll from under a bridge in hell! I'm glad they banned that guy's IP address. I fucking hate those types.

The biggest bullies are the biggest cry babies. It's a show of weakness. Good to let them know you are laughing at them.

  • Depends. Spammers/advertisers should be banned, because they are only soliciting their buisness and distracting from actual conversation. They are not even trolls. They serve no purpose other than to clog the forum with bullshit.

Harassment can be easily solved with a block option like they have on facebook.

Trolls often provide humor and entertainment. Sometime they make people think as well. They play an important role because while it is nice to receive serious answers, it is also important to lighten up and take a joke, or you will never learn to enjoy anything.

    • Most of the trolls I'm referring to are the ones that make fake posts claiming:
-to abuse, abandon, give drugs to, and have sex with their kids on Parenting forums.
-that they are forcing their pets to live in small cramped areas on Pet forums.
-they're a man or lady that likes to cook human meat on the cooking forums.

These are just a small amount of the large amount of examples I've seen this month alone. Some will even post "photographic proof" to try and rile up the other users. This "proof" is always proved to be fake later on. (I'll admit it is funny watching the other users lose their shit over the photos and feed the trolls.) It's always funny watching them turn around and whine about being banned multiple times. Does finding it entertaining to watch them blame others for their actions make me a jerk with a terrible sense of humor?

The cooking human meat one could quite funny. I could picture it now. Someone asking if they could use a beef roast instead of a pork one because they don't eat pork to which our troll would be like, "it's fairly common knowledge that the flesh of biped hominids is a great substitute for pork. Hence, the use of pork in ballistic and medical experiments instead of human."
