Is it normal to feel that people here complain about is it normal too much?
I understand your frustrations. I do. I have repeatedly tried to change my profile picture only for my old one to return over and over again. I experience all the common mobile device issues. I don't know why PMs can't be deleted. I have had posts unjustly rejected while 1000 teenagers who can't figure out that they're just gay get their stories approved. But do you know what I do? I know nothing is perfect so I suck that shit up and try to make better comments/stories and be more engaging to people because that's why we're here - to read funny comments, get good advice (or whatever sort of response you're looking for), enlighten each other and just communicate and find some common ground. When we, the users, quit working, then I will complain. I've been looking back on old posts lately and the comments were so much more enthusiastic. There was the Trollen Age (the beginning. silly comments everywhere, many of them hilarious) and the Friendship Age and probably many more. I don't want to be a part of the Complainer Age. I feel like if you love this site it takes your individual effort to make it work as a whole. Collectively. Whether you are an adviser, a judge, ambassador, citizen, troll or child - WE CAN DO IT.
Maybe.
If we stop...
bashing posts we don't like.
calling bullshit rather than simply clicking 'not normal' and explaining why it isn't normal to you.
bashing the mods. They can't please everyone. I wanted to be a mod so I thought a lot about what I would and would not approve. When I had Gold I went through all of the unmoderated posts to pass judgement and it's not as easy as you'd think.
bashing other users even if they're bashing you. I've seen a few users start as trolls and settle as helpful/funny contributors and honestly they turn out to be among my favorites.
Thank you and good luck to you in you is it normal endeavors.
