Is it normal to feel sad to see no one paying attention to a young lady?

Right next to the building where I work, there has been a young lady about 5 feet tall with medium length brunette hair with a green jacket and glasses around the time of 12 noon to 2pm standing there handing out flyers for some massage or something similar. Her boss probably told her to do this. I noticed her the last two days when I was out for lunch. She seems either late teens or early 20s, and I imagine that she is a college student and does something like this as a part time gig. This is in New York so there's always people out and about on the streets, but it makes me a little sad that she is young and attractive and no one stops to take a flyer even though she is trying to give one to everyone who passes by that corner. I think I might just take a few off her hands, and say that I would give a few to my friends, it would totally make her day especially considering how no one is even stopping for a second to take a flyer.
