Is it normal to feel rejected when your story gets shot down by the mods?

It's only happened to me once but I was super pissed about it. I think they ought to at least tell you why! Especially when you see some stories that clearly don't pass the mods criteria, eg a recent one about a girl hating having her first period - um, shes probably not over eighteen? God its so annoying. Have other people had their stories rejected? What were they about? is it normal to take it personally?

Lol I never had a story be rejected but I would get really really upset about it!

  • Umm... I'm just going to ask this but are you okay and why are you talking to yourself?

Because even in Internet land that's a little cuckoo. Or have you just epically failed?

I'm not the OP, I just sent that prematurely. So I'd like to claim that was just a little bit of an epic fail (oxymoron!). And as far as sanity goes, it's not a long trip.

So your driveway doesn't go all the way to the street. :)

Bahahaha. It's okay, the IIN community is like one big introverted whetstone for all us dull and I might add loony xD

I do appreciate your interest in my mental health. Feeling loved albeit a misunderstanding.

    It hurts less over time.

Oh but yes, I think it's normal. But you've got to cut Management a break. There's a LOT of crap to sift through. Maybe you just needed to word the IIN portion of the question more clearly. Don't stop submitting though!
