Is it normal to feel paranoid when you hear people mentioning your name?

Whenever I hear somebody in the background mentioning my name I get angry, paranoid and frustrated because I always wonder why would they mention my name in the first place. I always think they are talking negative about me but I don't know because I cant hear their full conversations only my name and whispering.

    i feel so paranoid when people do this. i feel like if you are talking about someone just say it to their face it may be negative or positive.
