Is it normal to feel overwhelmed by passion?

Sometimes, most often at night, I feel myself to be suddenly overcome with waves of passion. It becomes sort of hard to breathe, and my chest just swells with a sense of warmth and unidentified emotions. A lot of the time, it's when I'm listening to a certain song that seems to work as some sort of an emotional trigger. My eyes well up with tears and I feel...just...I don't even know. But it's kind of amazing, actually. I know this may sound weird, but I'm really curious if this is just me or if other people actually experience this as well.
