Is it normal to feel like the entire population of the planet hates you?

That's generally how I've felt my whole life. I don't say that lightly, I've thought that for as long as I've been intellectually capable of doing so, since I was a child suffice to say.

I'm asking is it normal in a broad, general sense, but in my context I've generally felt that the whole world is hostile to me, and this generally keeps me from talking to people, I always suspect first and foremost that they're too cool for me, too smart for me, they'll react hostilely, etc.

I don't even know who you are, why would I waste my time hating you?

    • I'm not talking in that literal of a sense, it's just a general feeling I've had my whole life. I don't see how anybody could NOT feel that way.

I have felt that way my entire life. It's called depression. It is very difficult to accept that anyone could possibly love, or even like, you.

Please talk to your doctor right away. There are solutions that can help you feel better.

    Best Wishes!!!

How much of this is coming from your own feelings about yourself? If you see yourself negatively or as inferior, it's a logical leap to assume others will. If, however, you felt more positively about yourself, there wouldn't be a logical leap to make.

The world doesn't hate you, but maybe you hate you.
