Is it normal to feel like i should not have to pay for prom?

Proms are expensive, so I doubt you'd be able to get a dude to pay for both you and himself. If you can't afford it, do what any other teen would do: either get a part time job to save up for your prom stuff or just throw away your dignity by begging your parents. I remember that's how most of the people I knew paid for prom during my teenage years.

However I didnt ask for extravagant things... I bought my own dress...and I paid for my hair ...I had it professionally styled and I drew how I wanted it styled on paper and brought it to show...it took 3 people and cost well over 100$
He paid for his outfit... the corsage and stuff. He took me to a restaurant I liked a lot and bought the tickets.
then the next morning he took me to breakfast. I didnt expect anything from him other then buying the tickets and picking me up ...so everything else was just a lovely wonderful suprise.

If your man cant afford this stuff I would recommend splitting the cost. If you sre asking for more then just a ride and tickets then maybe you should pay for them yourself.
