Is it normal to feel hungry after smelling the odor of a dead animal's body?

Even if it is just a little bit. (It also includes, but is not limited to, the smell of the meat that you get from a supermarket)

    You’re probably ghoul then

It’s easy to test if your undead or not

Try casting the healing spell on yourself, if it damages your HP. You’re Undead

I'm talking about reality though, not mythical creatures. But good reference to fiction.

I don't think it's normal. It's not safe for humans to eat things that are found dead, our instincts should warn us to use caution. Additionally, our instincts should be alerted to fresh kills because a predator might be near.

So no, not normal. Repulsion is normal, not hunger.

Last time I checked no, I don't think so.

  • It's absolutely normal. It's our instinct of predators. Not sure why the poll shows otherwise, perhaps they misunderstood the message.

That's why I thought first, but there's so much people saying that -we should find it disgusting and that's why we cook it- that I'm just not sure anymore.

      • It's our instincts of hunters. Historically it wasn't such a long time ago, so it's natural to have preserved many of these instincts. Such an instinct makes me proud of my manhood and of my manly heritage. The disguting characterization is unjustified and perhaps exaggerated. I wouldn't be surprised if the ones who say this were also giving recommendations about how long can you keep a butt plug for. Let's be serious.

If you mean roadkill, it probably isn’t normal, but if it’s the food you eat, its fine.

Actually any dead animal is included.

Yea I think it's normal as long as it's not rotten flesh

Well, the smell of rotten flesh doesn't really disgust me. And it seems to have a partial effect too, not as strong as a non rotten body though but there it is.

If I were refering to steak I wouldn't be asking, Would I?

I'm talking about other things, like a dead rat or a dead dog for example. Raw steak is just one more, not the only one.

If the meat at your supermarket smells like old rotting animal, i'd shop somewhere else. Unless the first dead animal was freshly killed, then its normal i guess.

I'm not precisely referring only to supermarket meat. Is included but not limited to it, I mean for example a dead bird in the back of your house.

I may not have explained myself clearly, I'm speaking about the smell of the raw meat and also the smell of any dead animal you'd find anywhere.

That's why raw smells like it does, and that's why we cook it. Think of it as a simple guide line from nature, raw meat, even dirty vegetables can kill you. I don't like the smell of raw meat, but sure do love the of cooked meat, especially Rib Eye steaks :)

Yes that's precisely my question. That's the smell that gives me hunger, raw meat, I even find it appetizing.

Of course I do cook it first anyway since I'm absolutely conscious that 1- Is easier to digest that way. 2- You get more nutrients when is cooked. 3- I don't know what made contact with it before.

But I try to have it cooked the minimum possible.
