I have been smoking occassionally for several years. Since I don't grow it and it's illegal in my country I have to buy it from a dealer with my friends and what occurs me is that I felt more relaxed and I enjoy it more when i smoke alone. Does marijuana make you more socially isolated ? Or am I socially awkward ?
When I used to smoke weed, i got to a point where i didn't really feel comfortable smoking with others anymore. There's just no way to be social with it and yet still maintain some privacy.
It would've been nice to partake in the herb without having to worry about the negative social impact it has and people's judgements... Since it's illegal where I'm at as well, this became a problem to me and i didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. Ultimately, i quit and I'm better off socially, financially, and job-wise because of the decision i've made.
Honestly, when it becomes legal here, i'd probably pick it up again. There's nothing wrong with smoking some weed, but some people are excessive and give it a bad name... Moderation is the key.
I hope I'm not getting graded on this. I skimmed some stuff, rascist laws, ran for congress or something, a flashy website and obnoxious weed mobile. Meh. I don't usually know about or follow stuff like that, I just can't be arsed. It'd be a bit different if I actually saw it 'round the statehouse and all but I don't. Never heard of him til you said something that other time.
I do what i want quietly alone. I'm not fighting his fight, I have my own battles to deal with which can lead to retreating to the privacy of my own home to smoke a little boogie man and carry on doin my thing.
I guess I just think some people try too hard and he's one of them, from what I gathered in my brief research. Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm slightly high and pretty tired. Ok then.
Sometimes i like to smoke alone, but there are a select few I enjoy smoking with. If I smoke with someone i don't know well i might get paranoid and if I smoke with people who I know well but I'm not extremely close to I just kind of shut down and get stuck in my head. I don't mind smoking with people who don't mind if I get I become paranoid or get stuck in my head ( if they can get in my head with me, even better), but otherwise I just enjoy smoking alone because thinking is pretty much my favorite thing to do when I'm blazed.
Yeah, I feel like I'm in my own world when I'm high. I find it difficult to be sociable.
When I first started smoking I enjoyed doing it with friends and bonding over movies and music. But now I get tend to get awkward and quiet when I'm high around other people. I prefer smoking alone so I can just put on headphones and zone out.
Being as it makes people paranoid, I could see it making one socially awkward.
