Is it normal to feel fatigue from iin?

The same old questions, the same old answers. Where is the life, the vibrance, the clever repartee of long ago? Must I endure lack of paragraphs for ever? Or the whinging of virgins who fail to embrace masturbation? Will it never end?

Take a break. All of the regulars have needed one at some point. In time, perhaps we'll gather exciting new members who are similar to those of "long ago."

Yawn, another one of these. It must be time for a break.

Don't get too wrapped up in the day to day happenings of IIN. It will make you crazy.

    Back away from the computer.

    • You're right, time to get out and about. I like your new turquoise look, btw.

new? I've been turquoise for a year or so. I only lost the turquoise for half a day. Unless others aren't seeing what I'm seeing...

The posts haven't changed at all. The commenting has, because of the new system, but that's all. So it's definitely normal to get bored with it. Take a break.

I'm afraid the life and vibrance has gone with the trolls of old, my friend.

    • I miss them too. Their clever wisdom provided the best closure ever.

It's normal. You've been here too long. Take a break, that's what I do every now and then.

Being a very old member who is not a very old member (but with a very old member), I am beginning to notice these things. Not only do interesting posts seem to be fewer, there seem to be so many of the same posts in a single week. The exact same subject matter, just written differently. Then there's the unanswerable posts; "Is my boyfriend too ugly for me to be seen with?" Without a picture, how can we answer that?
Perhaps it's cyclic, like global warming? There do seem to be some older (age) members now, but who knows on the web?
I have definitely noticed a decrease in the pointless filthy comments and that isn't disappointing.

    • Fewer pointless comments probably because the kids are back in school.

IIN is becoming like cable TV - a higher quantity of low quality material. I wish our Gold Members could edit posts like they once did. I hope THE MANAGEMENT considers going back to the old system.

Gold members never had the ability to edit posts.

Everyone did for a little while after the moderation changed. It didn't work well.

          Oh, really?
          How did it work?

You know how when it was in the moderation section you could edit? Well that was applied to every poll/story.

So because it was global, you could edit ones made years previously.

Kinda retarded, seeing as Udi once said that he didn't have lengthy edits on comments to avoid people fucking others around with changing their comments to make others look bad/stupid.

I don't remember being able to edit anything (unless they were my own posts). I remember options for 'approving' or 'denying' a post (that really didn't do any good whatsoever) but I don't think that's what you're talking about here.

Maybe I was on my hiatus when this was implemented.

If the way I think you're describing this is true, then that's incredibly stupid. What could possibly make him think that was a good idea? Udi must be on drugs or some shit...
