Is it normal to feel bothered or hurt at the fact that my wife doesnt eat my...

my cooking? Our kids don't seem to mind it but she does. I didn't notice this until I saw her all over my roommates dinner like flies on shit. Which literally looks likes dog food out of a can. Should this bother me? What should I do? Women and wife's comments would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I'd probably die of shock if my husband made dinner. The man can't cook, but I'd eat it and love every bite of it. Then thank him special later...or just right there on the god damn table

I have a pervy pervy mind, I originally thought this was a sexual post.

Tell her to make her own food then?

Maybe you are being a little jealous over the fact she liked your roommates dinner better? Is it a guy? Maybe its subconscious..I'm only saying this based on the fact that you went the extra mile to put down his food lol. Don't get me wrong, I would be upset as well, that's normal. I would eat it because it would make my s.o. happy. If my above statement sounds absurd to you, then maybe you should talk to her about it, its obviously something you care about..Its important to remember in a relationship to make eachother happy!

  • I know how that is, my cooking usually gets high praise so I get quite offended when somebody refuses to even try it. Of course I don't show it, but still.

  • Yeah, that sounds a bit rude. My mum always makes an effort to eat and compliment the food my dad makes for her.

I hate cooking so my husband makes most of our meals. It means a lot to me and I always thank anyone who makes this effort for me. However, my husband was brought up with 'dry dinners' which I couldn't stand, so I bought in some gravy granules, sorted!!

    It seems simple to me.
Ask her if she enjoyed each meal and if you get a lacklustre response, give her a smaller portion of it the next time you make it. Your post makes it sound as if you cook all the time, so maybe you should tell her you're fed up cooking and see what she makes. I hope that if you cook then she cleans up the kitchen, so as to share that chore!

I wouldn't be hurt or upset though I might be annoyed at wasting good food on her. I think your marriage is in trouble if you are unable to get a straight answer as to what's wrong with your food.

    Good luck!
