Is it normal to feel attracted to people just because they are attracted to me?

Is it normal that once somebody admits to finding me attractive. I start finding them twice as attractive as before? It could be a person who is not really my type at the start. But once they start flirting, It's way more likely that I feel attracted to them. Of course this doesn't happen with everyone. But it has been generally true for me.

    I’m the same, I’m not chasing anyone who doesn’t want me. I’ll only give a guy a chance once he makes it clear that he’s attracted to me.
