Is it normal to feel attracted to an older woman

I am visiting my grandmother and this morning I was asked to buy a bottle of coke , however the person asking to buy the coke is a neighbour who lives just down the hall in the block of flats ( to clarify it is not an old age home) this woman is in her late 40's . Usually I only find people in my own age group attractive (20-23 along with the odd older or younger girl) but this lady falls far outside anything like that . Hoeever I fully realise this woman is not conventionaly attractive but neither is she strikingly ugly . is it normal that I find her attractive in such a strange way?
