Is it normal to feel ashamed by my parents?

I am a teenager and I know it is completely normal to feel embarrassed by ones parents. But I feel humiliated and embarrassed by my parents completely. I somehow want to live the Uber lifestyle and want to work hard to get rich. But my parents keep acting cheap. I hence feel very ashamed.

I know this might not be similar to other people, but could you at least comment.

    Penny pinching and being extremely cheap is sometimes due to mental illness like 0CD.. if they aren't abusive and are still good loving parents who provide your basic needs then consider yourself lucky.
