Is it normal to feel a lot of grief from a dream where your dog has been....

I woke up clearly remembering a dream from last night where my dog had been given away or either sold, not sure who sold it may have been mum, don't know. Anyways I remember that I felt an almighty amount of grief like I was crying when I was dosing in and out of sleep though I can't exactly recall if I was dreaming that part as well or if it was real as it felt so real when I woke. What does this dream mean, any interpreters out there who could help? :)

    Totally normal! Dreams are your brain's way of helping you to cope with things that you grieve. It's also very normal to have dreams about things that have been on your mind a lot, especially when you're thinking about it right before you fall asleep.
