Is it normal to fall in love with a fictional character?

I recently started playing Bioshock Infinite and as I was playing, I started to fall in love with the character Elizabeth in a weird way. So is it normal and have any of you had something similar to this happen to you?

    I just started bioshock,I'm enjoying it so far.
    So, yeah, I also play video games often and whenever I am given the option, I play as a female character, not because I identify as such but because I always want to create a strong, sexy and badass character that I sometimes find myself attracted to. You must know that it,s not the pixels on screen that you like but what it represents. Maybe elizabeth has certain qualities you may like in real women. (hum, tits?)

    I have fallen in love with so many fictional characters and obsess over them and daydream about them. Its normal!
