Is it normal to fall in love after only knowing a person for a week?

I met this guy about a week ago. The first date went so amazing that we scheduled one for the next night. That went so well that he asked me to be his boyfriend. Last night, he told me that he loves me and I think I love him too. Since I'm young (20) and rather inexperienced, I don't know if this is just a phase or if it's normal to fall in love this quickly. Please help...

Love at first sight is more often lust than love. However, there's no need to deny a strong attraction to another person because some think time is necessary to get to know another person.
There's nothing on earth nearly as wonderful the first few weeks of a new love.

I do that all the time, maybe with me it's a case of raging insanity. I fall in "love" instantly, the guy on the bus, the emo guy crossing the road and when I do make contact and get to know the person as a friend it's even worse, I get attached too quickly.

It's normal, but there's a big difference between limerance (the crazy in love stage) and lasting love. The first can grow into the other, but it's too ephemeral to build long term commitments on.

Just enjoy it while it lasts!

Believe me, your age has nothing to do with it: I'm 68 and fell madly in love earlier this year with a totally inappropriate person I hardly knew and it was reciprocated, but didn't last. I sort of knew it wouldn't but it was fun while it lasted.
