Become less available to him, don't talk to him for a few days, maybe even hint about a guy who asked you out on a date or is hitting on you (make it up), and see if it prompts him to show whether or not he wants more of you, or wants you all to himself. Sort of forcing him to answer your question of whether or not he feels the same way as you but without actually ASKING him outright.

What? No! That's manipulative. Maybe he does love you back, and he'll think you're not interested. Just tell him you want to stop the 'bang buddy'-relationship, because you want something that's more meaningful in your life. And then tell him you wouldn't mind actually dating him.

Now, the choice is still yours, you don't have to follow my advice, but... please don't be so manipulative. I find that disrespectful, and maybe he does too.

I really liked the way your title was worded for some reason :)

Generally, IMHO we tend to only form "arranged" fuckbuddy situations with those we actually have some connection with anyway. Then we have lots of fun times with this person, and usually expose ourselves and our "secrets" far more than with other people, reinforcing our bond.

The thing I find crazy is that people are often "surprised" when they realise an emotional attachment forming. I say realise, because IMHO it was already there to begin with - just less apparent.

Talk to your "friend with an f" and tell him how you are feeling. Try and do it unemotionally, and (if you want) put it as "hey, I'm starting to feel emotionally attached to you, and would be happy to be more exclusive with you, like you know, boyfriend and girlfriend, but if you aren't feeling the same can we please remain fuckbuddies because my vag will get really upset without your cock on a regular basis."
