Is it normal to expect my sister to fail at making the turkey

my husband thinks I worry too much .she's cooking the turkey for the first time she is a little slows too. she's not doing it the way my mother made it. she called the butterball people she dry brined it and she is putting get this fresh thyme and rosemary all over it and basting it every half hour with butter. I just know its going to taste and smell like medicine.am I right to worry she screws up everything in her life but kind of knows how to cook . I don't know how to cook and she seems kind of annoyed I keep calling her.

Sounds like a good recipe. I wouldn't worry too much about the herbs, since the taste will be very mild, being on the surface of the meat. Just make sure she checks the internal temperature of the turkey (in the breast area where the meat thermometer is not hitting bone) for food safety reasons. The minimum temperature for a whole roasted turkey is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Happy thanksgiving :)

No one likes a nagger. Her method sounds very tasty. Give her some room, but if she does mess up, have a back up in place.

You don't think highly of your sister?

  • That turkey sounds like it's going to be so yummy. Butter basted, with rosemary and thyme, after a dry brine?
    Delicious!!!
