Is it normal to eat out everyday because angry housemates live in the kitchen?
I moved into my new first floor room in Bournemouth in the last week of September.
I'd just found the room on Gumtree and hadn't bothered to check who i lived with. I assumed it would just be a normal house of working adults or students.
On the first night, i get back after going to the pub, to discover a guy and a pregnant woman in the kitchen (both coloured) having a chat. I went and introduced myself. They both just stared at me. I tried to shake the fellas hand. He wouldn't budge. The woman was staring at me like i'd murdered someone. It was really awkward and i had to just say "right well, night then" and walk away. They were eyeballing me and all i did was say hello.
The following day i was up in my room and i could hear two guys downstairs in the kitchen literally screaming at each other. They went on for about 20 minutes getting louder and louder. Then one of them came upstairs and slammed the door next to me and locked it. Great, the guy in the room next to me in a screaming mentalist. There are 4 guys in total i think.
and it's been like this ever since. Weird starey looks, shouting, screaming and constant banging. The guy in the room next to mine sounds like he scrapes the walls with his fingernails and unplugs things all day. I can't actually use the kitchen because they literally just sit in it all day talking and shouting.
It's late October now and I simply cannot bring myself to use the kitchen (and rarely the shower), so i'm spending alot of my money eating out everyday (and making Pot noodles in my room) because of a bunch of people that make me feel really uneasy. I'm losing weight and just going to the bathoom is a nightmare cos i can hear them just walking around yelling at each other (in african i think).
is this normal??
also, this morning i've heard nothing but a baby screaming so i think the aforementioned pregnant woman has given birth.
