Is it normal to drop something in a large open space and have it disappear

before it hits the ground. This has happened to me on several occasions. Mostly with pens and pencils. I used to just think they just bounced at an angle I didn't expect and went flying off under something and they didn't really disappear. Then it happened one time when I was walking through a vacant gym with a friend. I dropped a pen, snatched at it and missed but it never hit the floor. It was just gone. My friend just stood there looking dumb and asked where did it go. We looked around us, no furniture, nothing in the gym within 60 feet of us and there is no way it bounced 60 feet without us not seeing it. This has happened twice now that I have started keeping track.

Are you sure you dropped the pen?

  • Yes there is a vortex for some objects. Guitar plectrums are the main object to go missing into the floor vortex

My sociology professor did an experiment on us once before similar to this. He dropped a pen and made a student believe he did not.

What a weird experience this must have been.

If it was a pencil, I'd say it may have just been camouflaged well with the gym floor, but idk this has never happened to me.

I thought I lost my pen. I searched my pants pockets, shirt pocket, jacket pockets, bag, and the floor.

When I had just about given up hope, I found it in my back pants pocket, the one I practically never use and hence forgot to search.

I do not believe in anything like this and I would say that the pen was there in the gyma nd you simply didn't see it.

I saw a cartoon last week where all the lost objects went to fantasy land. Maybe you have watched it too.
