Is it normal to drink soda at a bar instead of alcohol?

I'm not a big drinker, so when I'm hanging out at a bar, I drink Coke or or Dr. Pepper instead of alcohol.

    Yeah of course it is! I have friends who don't drink who come to the bars with us because it's fun being all together anyway, and we don't get too drunk so its not like they have to deal with crazy drunks or anything. Not only that, but us drinkers always appreciate a good DD

    Of course it's normal. I spent a few hours last night at live music with a friend who was only drinking orange juice while I drank cider. I don't see any problem with this.

        Why awesome and/or funny? Seems quite normal to me because that's what she prefers

          I didn't mean anything bad by it. I have a friend who drinks apple juice when we go to barbecues and stuff where people are drinking. That's why the orange juice was awesome and kinda funny because I have a friend who does the same thing
