Is it normal to drink because of this?

I drink for my Retirement Planning.
If I had purchased $1000 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.
With Enron, I would have have $16.50 left of the original $1000.
With WorldCom, I would have had less than $5 left.
If I had purchased $1000 of Delta Airline stock, I would have $49 left.
Instead, I purchased $1000 worth of wine one year ago, drank all the wine, the turned in the bottles for the recycling REFUND, and I now have $214.00.
Based on the above, the best current investment advise is to drink heavily and recycle.
Beat that, Donald Trump!

Wine is fine but whiskeys quicker.

Definitely! I'm having a small one now, black label of course, before I go out to see a local rock band.

Never had a hangover from good scotch either

        I don't think I've ever had a hangover. :)

Any reason is a great reason to drink. If you had bought all those shares and lost all those lids, you'd definitely hit the drink anyway. So it makes perfect sense all round.
