Is it normal to dream about a deceased parent?

My passed away 23 years ago, wow. I didn't realized it's been that long. My mom passed away 17 years ago. I dream about one or the other or both of them. Most of the time they are not doing anything. This one time, I saw my mom but I went over to my dad, bent down and kissed him on his cheek and then I walked away. My dad just sat there in church, he was attending a church conference. The day after the dream I was involved in an auto accident. I have had no accidents in over 7 years. Is the dream and auto accident connected?

    I think that dreaming of a deceased parent it completely normal but I don't know if the accident and the dream were connected... It could be possible but I doubt it

    Yes, I totally believe that dreaming of your deceased loved ones is so normal, however i don't know what the connection would be with your Accident. Both of my parents are gone now, my mom died last July. I will finish this within another comment.

      My Dad came to me in a dream after he passed, it was so real that it did not feel like it was a dream to me. I think it was a visit from him. He was standing on the patio looking away from me at first, then he turned looked at me and said, it's okay, i am here and i love you.

    I think its normal. You dream about those you care about. And I heard this thing that when people pass away and you see them in your dreams, it could mean they're paying you a visit in your dreams. It could be a message. However, Im not sure about the accident being connected. But I'm sure they're looking after you, and probably were the day the accident happened.
