Is it normal to do random all-nighters without good reason?

About 2 years ago, when I was at school, I remember doing a complex project and I was running out of time, so I had to do 2 all-nighters straight so it was about 60 hours awake. I wasn't feeling very tired, but I surely had a good sleep after that.
Now I feel like doing all-nighters at least once a week for no reason, with some coffee I easily make it through the day.
I know it's bad for my health, but I'd rather not sleep 3 hours on sleepless nights than doing it and feeling equally tired. I also think that sleeping is a time waste if not taking for the health benefits of course. So I'd rather make use of the time to learn something or do a couple tasks I'd do during the day. Am I crazy?

As you think sleep is a waste, its unfortunate I have to diagnose you crazy ;)
Just like my smartphone needs to charge, I must sleep! And you must too or you will burn out! Why are you pulling all-nighters unless you're a procrastinator. I only did this during the exam period.

I'm constantly messing with my sleeping patterns, including arbitrary all-nighters, which is difficult since I have a job :P Bad habits developed years ago.

So for me, it's normal, but for everyone else, I think we're strange.
