Is it normal to dislike work when its busy?

So pretty much when I know lines are backing up and that its going to be client after client is it normal that I get a short fuse? I have no problems working. I work as support all day (so its really not that hard) but when I know its non stop I just cant bring myself to be friendly or courteous with people. I'm just hurried and ready for it to slow down, it kills all motivation to help people since someone else is just waiting to ask more dumb questions. Meh

I can understand getting frustrated when it gets busy as you know you have to pick up the pace and will be moving almost constantly. Its not very relaxed and you're forced to crank it to 110%. Still, I have fellow employees who get frustrated like that and it isn't fun to work with them as they will say rude things to people they work with just because they can't keep calm during busy times. "Could you hand me this?" "I have orders, can't do that right now >,>" "What time does [name here] come in?" "I don't care about that now, trying to get these orders out." Just as long as you aren't like that then I'd say getting frustrated is fine in healthy doses. Remember, more of "Okay, I got this~" than "Screw everyone, GRR!"

Most people I've met, myself included, much prefer to be busy at work rather than not. When I'm busy time flies and the workday is over much more quickly.
It sounds like you are not a good fit for your job. Perhaps you should find one where you don't have to deal with people at all.

Okay I'm a little guilty for the "What time does [name here] come in" but its more so if someone doesn't show I've noticed that I become passive aggressive towards them. Subtle shit talking is what it honestly is but it really is just the first thing in my mind. I mean most of them are cool people but when it increases my workload I like get pissed instantly. Which is not cool at all of me to do.

I agree the work makes time HAUL by which is nice but dealing with people is infuriating. I dont mind the amount of work but more so just the apathy of lazy people. I'd love to work and never have to deal with people!
