Is it normal to differentiate between carnal desire and platonic feelings?

There's girl A, who you love and adore. You also have the desire to sleep with her, but:
This desire isn't nearly as strong as the lust to have sex with girl B.

You know, that you don't have deep feelings for girl B, but you sexually want her much more than girl A.

Is any of this normal?

This is usually the situation when you're married to girl A but have an affair with girl B. Which one would be the better choice for you?

I really think for guys its either A) you want to sleep with the girl OR B) you don't. No gray area.
