Is it normal to deal with my husband not calling me when he's out of town?
Every year my husband goes to NY for fashion week. I trust him, that he does his work there, and he stays with his bestfriend who is a very religious person. I completely understand that he NEEDS to go there to network, see potential brands, buy merchandise, and etc. My only problem is he REFUSES to call me and check up on his baby (3 months old), or just to even say "hello" to her when he doesn't even have a lot of time to spend with her whenever he's at home in the first place. To top that off, he told his mom to check-up on us everyday for him. My mother in-law also tells me that if she can withstand having her husband to be out of the country for months and not get ANY calls for weeks, I should be able to withstand not getting a phone call for a day! Isn't it a husband's responsibility to check-up on his daughter and wife instead of asking his mother to check on them for him? Is this a normal occurrence for married people who go on business trips? I just want him to call for my peace of mind as well; I'm not unreasonable, I just want to know he is safe and well. Yes, I am aware he is a grown man and doesn't need his hand held. But who can't press some buttons on a cellphone now-a-days and call home to speak to their loved one for ONE MINUTE???
