Is it normal to cuddle with your mom at an adult age?

I'm 22 and I cuddle with my mom sometimes. Like a puppy would, not sexually.

Just when I visit home, we just hang out and watch TV.

Is it normal...? do you guys cuddle with your mom?

Judging from your post's rating, I take it's not a common occurrence. Though, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I think it's nice that you have this emotional closeness with your mother. My mother and I, aren't that affectionate. We are both socially awkward and tend to be reserved, with me being the more reserved one. Our psychical affection is through the rare hugs, sometimes spontaneous, on my part, and the rare kiss on the head from her.

a side hug is good - petting is not. As a woman who was abused by her mother - a mother who to this day demanded to be petted and cuddled with - it makes me uncomfortable only from my own experience. I imagine it would be nice if you had a safe enough relationship to hug her like that.

if your mother is ok with it and you both feel loving of each other as child and mother a hug a cuddle is a caring way to show it: respect each other in the cuddling as strong feelings/insticts are there between family members too. that ain't natural or normal

My mom wasn't the cuddle type, at the best of times. If you were that close to her you'd best be keeping an eye out for a sharp kitchen knife or other dangerous implement in her hand.

I personally don't do that but I also don't see a problem with it. everyone is raised differently.
