Is it normal to constantly compare myself to my father?

My father was always a great student and got good grades and has been one of the most successful and hardest working employees in his company and he makes a lot of money. I am nothing compared to him and I feel like a failure at life. He always calls me lazy and stupid but I don't get mad when he says those things because he's totally right and it's all my fault that I was born a loser.
