    I think it´s fine to be friends with people in a relationship. I have close male friends.
    With and without girlfriends.

    But you crossed the line by expressing feelings for her, if one of my male friends had done that with me I´d withdraw because it would feel wrong to entertain those emotions.

    Since I got married I have more female friends than male a couple are married but mostly single my wife knows about them I even do occasion odd jobs for them the conversation does get a bit raunchy but nothing happens
