Is it normal to bring a bloody knife through security?

So today I went to the baseball game with some friends. One of my friends told me about when security confinskated his knife.

I then got the idea to cut a steak with a knife and bring it to security so it's all bloody just to fuck with them.

It would look really suspicious but I don't think I can actually get in trouble because even if they test it will just be cow blood and I will say I was just cutting my steak with it.

  At a baseball game? Afraid our "old feller" is just exaggerating. They'll arrest the kid, put him on the "no fly" list (even though it's a sporting event), write him a $500 ticket and send him home.

      Just remember that it's a security system operating on quantified levels of risk that have been predetermined by correlational methods. Subjective judgements by pissed off personnel are not a reliable predictor of actual terrorism. Profiling etc works better. The TSA knows this. If you hit all the switches that correlate with a real terrorist - that's when you get disappeared.

        From personal experience, I can tell you that most of the "quantified levels of risk that have been predetermined by correlational method" do not work and are of little use other than to placate the citizenry.
        It has been proven time and time again that the TSA has more holes than a colander, and that they again, are of little use, other than to placate the citizenry.

    It could happen. Private security at the game turns the idiot over to the cops and he mouths off to the wrong person....
    And he sounds just stupid enough to do it, don't you think?
    Hell, you can be disappeared for making a joke (words only, no "bloody knife") about a bomb in a public place.

      I'm skeptical. Depends on his profile and also how NSA data mining computers have assessed his risk. If he really wants to get disappeared, he should strap road flares to his chest, go to the airport and tell the TSA supervisor to get fucked.
