Is it normal to break up with a boyfriend you do not like and still feel this?

Hello everyone , I have a question I will be stating . Is it normal to have a boyfreind you do not like and want to break up with but when you two break up you get this gut wrenching feeling in your chest and your self esteem gets really low becuase of it ?

    Sounds to me like guilt. I think that you probably knew the relationship wasn't going to be great in the first place but you still went along with it. Now you feel guilty, but you stayed with him because he gave you a sense of love and belonging. You say bye-bye to him and you also say it to the self esteem he gave you.

    Change is hard. Even if you know the relationship is toxic or simply just not what you want...it's easy to get lonely and miss the familiarity that you had in your life. It just takes time. The best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody. Go out and mingle!!!

      I agree with your comment, it's probably not guilt like the first poster suggested but your own fear of losing stability and giving in to change. Better get it over with now instead of staying with him, wasting years of your life and maybe even starting a family and then realizing you are only in it because you were simply scared of being single instead of making these commitments out of love and true feelings.
