Is it normal to believe that the end result of slavery

Is it normal to believe that the end result of slavery overshadows the horror and degradation of the trade itself?
In reality, the vast majority blacks alive today in the Americas, are only alive because their ancestors were taken from their home continent. Africa has always been a place of disease, starvation, genocide, wars and incredibly high infant mortality rates. By removing these genetic lines from Africa, it allowed them to survive and flourish, as they most likely would never have done in Africa. Therefore, it follows that slavery was the savior of these genetic lines, which is not to say slavery was right, but the end result for untold millions of black people was favorable.
Without a doubt, there are very few if any, black people in the Americas who would willingly change places with a counterpart on the African continent.

Condemning what happened to your ancestors is ridiculous. I don't give a fuck what happened to mine and can't understand why anyone else would.

You mean the black desendents of slaves living in America today are better off than those in Africa? Mostly yes but slavery was still horrible.

    • All the Americas, not just the US. And I don't think many of the genetic lines would even exist today, if they hadn't gotten out of Africa.

The way Americans treated their slaves was horrible in comparison to how other nations throughout history treated theirs.

    • Are we comparing Americans to Romans, the Mongols or even the Egyptians here, just to name three? If so, I guess you and I read different history books.
