Is it normal to become gradually more jaded about society from being here?

I am finding that the more dumb-ass posts from Trolls and people with (what appears to me to be) a complete lack of common sense I read here, the more jaded I am becoming.

I seem to be progressing (or devolving) from trying to be helpful, to being sarcastic in my responses to most posts.

Is this a normal occurrence for people who actively participate here?

    Yes, happens to almost everyone here. Some of the most sarcastic assholes on the site are legitimately nice people. It happens if you spend too much time here, which I wouldn't recommend.

    I generally disregard others unless I too am learning from it.
    I think we have become use to the new age of everyone speaking their mind even if it might hurt others.
